A native of the Kansas City area, Matthew Eveland is a Nashville-based lead guitar player with more than ten years of performing experience playing rock, blues, country and contemporary Christian music. In addition to extensive training in both lead guitar and drums at Music House School of Music in Kansas City, he has completed music courses at Johnson County Community College, and at Berklee College of Music in Boston. His first rock band was in middle school with three of his good friends, and he has been pleasing crowds ever since. In Kansas City he played in his church praise band, performed with Music House bands regularly, was well known in the blues scene, and did session work at Chapman Recording Studios.
After moving to Nashville, TN at the age of twenty-one, he quickly became involved in the city’s abundant music scene. Matt has been in demand with his signature style of guitar and commanding stage presence. In a short couple of years he has been part of over sixteen acts in Nashville - including work in the studio, television and touring. He is currently the lead guitar player and background vocalist for Mustang Sally.
